Privacy accountability inside the delivery model

ISO 27701 consulting for Indian organisations.

Customer privacy commitments need owners, usable instructions and evidence across engineering and delivery. CyberVantage360 helps Indian organisations establish a privacy management system around the services they actually provide. Build a programme that can absorb new customers, tools and processing decisions without losing control of its scope.

Start with the operating decision

Separate the organisation's own purposes from customer processing.

ISO/IEC 27701:2025 is the current independent PIMS standard, according to ISO. Scope the activities and roles before choosing the implementation sequence.

An Indian service provider may process information for customers while deciding its own workforce and commercial uses. Map those activities separately. A contract-level instruction and an internal HR decision should not disappear into one undifferentiated privacy register.

India context

Replace outdated legal assumptions with maintained decisions.

MeitY's current catalogue includes the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Rules, 2025. Review their application separately; an implementation plan should not refer to a forthcoming PDP Bill as the current legal basis.

For delivery centres and product teams, identify who updates operating instructions when legal or customer requirements change. Keep the decision, affected systems and completion evidence connected so a change is more than a revised policy date.

Agreed outputs

Build privacy management around delivery responsibilities.

Choose outputs that support both daily operations and management oversight.

01

Role and scope map

Separate customer-directed processing from the organisation's own purposes and identify accountable owners.

02

Risk and action register

Assess selected processing risks and translate decisions into technical, contractual and procedural work.

03

Delivery procedures and evidence

Define approved data use, supplier changes, request routing and incident escalation with maintained records.

04

Readiness evaluation

Review implementation evidence, unresolved findings and management decisions before certification assessment.

Practical implementation

Test the system against a new customer requirement.

Take a proposed customer restriction on production-data use and follow it through solution design, onboarding, access and support. Check whether the instruction reaches the team that handles an urgent fault.

Agree who can approve exceptions and how their conditions are implemented. The PIMS should make a disputed or infeasible promise visible before it becomes an untracked delivery obligation.

Illustrative operating decisions

Two Indian PIMS implementation choices.

Hypothetical examples, not client case studies or claims of completed engagements.

An analytics provider adds customer datasets

A hypothetical Indian provider handles different customer instructions for retention and permitted analysis. Its central platform needs to represent those differences without relying on individual memory.

The programme maps dataset ownership, allowed use and review triggers. Implementation tests how a restriction is applied to exports, support access and a proposed new analysis.

A delivery centre replaces a collaboration tool

A hypothetical service centre proposes a new collaboration platform for customer projects. Teams have different practices for attachments and meeting recordings.

The PIMS change process identifies information types, supplier questions and approved settings. Training uses the resulting workflow, and a later check verifies that old shared material has been handled according to the decision.

Our service commitment

100% successful ISO certification guaranteed.

Our guarantee applies to the agreed ISO certification engagement. Confirm its scope and terms in your proposal. The independent certification body conducts the audit and makes the certification decision.

Agree the edition, scope and assessment arrangements with the independent certification body. The project can support a PIMS and its evidence; it does not automatically establish compliance with Indian law or every overseas customer obligation.

Before you commission the work

Questions for Indian programme owners.

Must we first obtain ISO 27001?

The 2025 PIMS standard is independent. Reuse suitable security processes without assuming a compulsory certificate sequence.

Does certification satisfy Indian privacy law?

No automatic equivalence applies. Keep legal applicability and implementation decisions separately assessed.

Can customer-specific instructions fit one PIMS?

Yes. The system should identify which instructions apply to which services and how differences are maintained.

Do we need to replace every existing document?

No. Review whether existing material is accurate, owned and supported by operating evidence; retain what is useful.

How should we plan the certification date?

Base it on scope, evidence and findings, then confirm the independent body's availability and current assessment arrangements.

What information is needed for a proposal?

Describe the service portfolio, processing roles, delivery sites, existing systems and customer or management objective.

Sources and scope of this guidance

ISO: ISO/IEC 27701:2025 overview; ISO: independent certification; MeitY: Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Rules, 2025.

Official references checked 13 October 2026. The implementation examples are practical recommendations; legal applicability and the agreed certification scope need their own review.

Plan the engagement

Make privacy management part of delivery.

Bring the customer commitments and internal responsibilities you need to coordinate. We can define a PIMS programme with clear decisions and practical milestones.
